This year the Zurich street parade took place in Zurich (funnily enough) on Friday and Saturday the 7th and 8th of August. This is the first time i have heard of the Zurich street parade however i have herd of the Belin Love Parade that used to attract a large crowd.

In Zurich the crowd was a massive 850,000 people which is a phenomenal turnout for a dance event. Much like the Love Parade the Dj’s and labels played music on floats moving round the town before playing in parks and arenas around the town. There was far to many events going on for me to comment on them all in a little blog post however looking through a few of the lineups, a lot of the floats, clubs or arenas played a mixture of music and Techno filled the bill. To be honest i am really un-familiar with any of the Techno Dj’s on offer at this event however if it was closer to home with the same lineups then i think it would have been a great event, Lots of people (including myself) get hung up on headliners, ive had some of the best nights out listening to a D’j that ive never heard before or even better didn’t think i would like.
